SATURDAY MORNING FILMCLUB

FREE for 7 - 11 year olds living in the Maidstone Town Centre

Every other Saturday from 10am to 12pm

The aim of the Film Club is to provide stimulation, learning and fun for local children who are our near neighbours.

We have created a mini-cinema in Maidstone Community Support Centre with a Blu-ray projector, a 2.7m wide screen and 7.1 surround sound.

Our professional staff team is led by Laura and Lydia, both qualified teachers, together with volunteer support. All have enhanced CRB checks.

HOW THE FILM CLUB WORKS

After watching the show and a break for refreshments, members are able to talk about what they have watched and express their opinions.  Keen critics can upload their reviews onto the national FILMCLUB website. Together, they then decide which film to watch next time.  We get all our films from the thousands available from www.filmclub.org.uk where they are listed by subject, content and age suitability.

FILMCLUB is an educational charity. Maidstone Community Support Centre opened its doors to charities and community groups in 1988.  The Saturday Morning Filmclub is our way of being neighbourly to families who live just a short walk away from the Centre.

Membership is FREE and open to all 7 to 11 year olds living in the town centre.

The Maidstone Community Centre Saturday Morning Filmclub is supported by a generous grant from the Barbara Saunders Trust.
