Privacy Policy

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors; this policy sets out how we will treat your personal information.

Visitors to our website

Use of cookies by MCSC

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The text file is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

We may send a cookie which may be stored on by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. We may use the information we obtain from the cookie in the administration of this website, to improve the website’s usability.  We may also use that information to recognise your computer when you visit our website, and to personalise our website for you.

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies.  (For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector.)  This will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including this one.

CMS Made Simple

We use a third party service, CMS Made Simple, to publish our website. Our site is hosted at www.Heartinternet.com. We use a standard service from www.simplehitcounter.com to collect anonymous information about users' activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site to and help us monitor and improve it.

People who contact us via social media

We use a third party provider, Hootsuite to manage our social media interactions as well as directly through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hootsuite, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for their notified length of time. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

What information do we collect?

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data:

(a) information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our website services, email notifications and/or newsletters;

(b) and any other information that you choose to send to us;

(c) information regarding you or your companies name, address, phone number and email regarding our online logging in process for room bookings.

Access to personal information

MCSC tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ under the GDPR act 2018. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • give you a description of it;
  • tell you why we are holding it;
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.
  • comply with your request within 1 month

To make a request to the MCSC for any personal information we may hold you need to put the request in writing addressing it to our CEO.

If we do hold information about you, you can ask us to correct any mistakes by, once again, contacting the CEO in writing.

Disclosure of personal information

In many circumstances we will not disclose personal data without consent. However when we investigate a complaint, for example, we will need to share personal information with the organisation concerned and with other relevant bodies.

You can also get further information on:

  • circumstances where we can pass on personal data without consent for example, to prevent and detect crime;
  • our instructions to staff on how to collect, use and delete personal data; and
  • how we check that the information we hold is accurate and up to date.
