Visitors to our website

Use of cookies by MCSC

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The text file is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

We may send a cookie which may be stored on by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. We may use the information we obtain from the cookie in the administration of this website, to improve the website’s usability.  We may also use that information to recognise your computer when you visit our website, and to personalise our website for you.

Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies.  (For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector.)  This will, however, have a negative impact upon the usability of many websites, including this one.

CMS Made Simple

We use a third party service, CMS Made Simple, to publish our website. Our site is hosted at www.Heartinternet.com.

Visitor Counter

We use a standard service from www.simplehitcounter.com to collect anonymous information about users' activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site to and help us monitor and improve it.

People who contact us via social media

We use a third party provider, Hootsuite to manage our social media interactions as well as directly through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for their notified length of time. It will not be shared with any other organisations.  This information is accessed by any of these platforms and Hootsuite on MCSC PC or staff mobile phones

What information do we collect?

We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data:

(a) information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our website services, email notifications and/or newsletters.  Although we do not currently provide a newsletter service online, it is something we have provided on the past.

(b) and any other information that you choose to send to us;

(c) information regarding you or your companies name, address, phone number and email regarding our online logging in process for room bookings.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ('Google'). Google Analytics uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Access to personal information

MCSC tries to be as open as it can be in terms of giving people access to their personal information. Individuals can find out if we hold any personal information by making a ‘subject access request’ under the GDPR act 2018. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • give you a description of it;
  • tell you why we are holding it;
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.
  • comply with your request within 1 month


To make a request to the MCSC for any personal information we may hold you need to put the request in writing addressing it to our CEO.

If we do hold information about you, you can ask us to correct any mistakes by, once again, contacting the CEO in writing.
