A Kent based charity set up to support people with Down’s syndrome, their families and the professionals that work with them. Our aims: Give children and young people access to therapeutic interventions, groups and social training. To provide local, accessible training for parents, carers and professionals. Support parents and families Provide information and awareness of Down’s syndrome within the wider community

We believe that everyone has the right to live their lives to the fullest of their potential. It is only possible to do this if you have high expectations and those expectations are shared by the community around you. We will work together to raise expectations, promote inclusion and achieve aspirations.

Family Matters is a registered Charity that provides free specialist support services for all survivors of rape and sexual abuse in Kent.  FM provides face to face therapy across Kent. The therapy service is also available for adults and children in the London Borough of Bexley. FM offers an Independent Sexual Violence Advisors service to provide emotional and practical support tailored to the needs of the survivor. FM also has a national helpline offering information and support to professionals or anyone affected by rape or sexual abuse.

Kent Family Mediation Service is a 'non-profit making' organisation offering a professional, impartial family mediation service to families and individuals who are on low incomes and private fee paying clients in a number of accessible family mediation centre across Kent: Ashford, Bromley, Canterbury, Chatham, Dartford, Dover, Gillingham, Gravesend, Maidstone, Ramsgate, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne & Tunbridge Wells.

The service is able to offer Legal Aid to those that are assessed as being eligible to claim it, giving entitlement to FREE Mediation and FREE time with a family solicitor.

Maidstone Allotment Management Committee

The Committee voluntarily manage Maidstone's 12 sites with some 730 plots, in and around Maidstone.   Allotments can be hard work and need commitment but eating fresh vegetables and fruit you have grown yourself is very special + the fresh air and exercise!   We rent out plots and maintain the sites, saving costs and keeping the rents low.
